Government regulations are strict when it comes to safety apparel worn by those who are routinely exposed to the hazards of low visibility while on the job. The ANSI 107 Standard outlines the specific visibility requirements for these types of occupations.

2012 Red Kap Catalog

With a new year comes a new catalog. In addition to new product and color additions, this year we’ve incorporated a helpful feature we call product grids. These quick-reference guides feature product categories (ex. Shirts, Hi-Vis, etc.) organized in a way that allows you to easily see and compare products, so selecting the right garment for the job is a snap.

You can preview these new grids – and the entire catalog – right away; the printed catalog will be available the week of January 23rd.

Help Pick the 2011 Kaption Winner

Red Kaptions are short quips that get to the heart of what Red Kap is all about: getting the job Done Right. We introduced kaptions with our 2010 catalog and the response was great. In 2011 we asked our fans to submit their own kaptions for the chance to be selected as a monthly winner. Over 700 submissions were made; 18 were deemed kaption-worthy.

SEMA Wrap-Up

Each year the SEMA Show brings thousands to Las Vegas to check out the latest and greatest in the automotive aftermarket industry. This was Red Kap’s second year exhibiting and to say it was a success would be an understatement. Not only did we experience a constant flow of visitors through our brand new 400 square foot booth, but many of them were already sporting Red Kap shirts.

On display was our full line of automotive apparel, including garments that highlighted our extensive capabilities for product customization. Through the “Try Us On To Win” promotion, over 100 people put on our shirts and jackets for the chance to win $500 in Red Kap apparel. It’s obvious from the photos that everyone had a good time trying on our gear. Last year’s shirt giveaway was so popular that we decided to take it up a notch. For 2011, we screen printed a custom SEMA design on the back of our classic SP24 work shirt. These limited edition charcoal grey shirts were a hit!

New for us this year was the sponsorship of a car – a 1966 Oldsmobile from Milestone Paint. The car sported Red Kap decals and was on display in the outdoor section, along with vehicles from all across the country. We kept the momentum going through the end of the show when Tim Strange from the Powerblock TV show “Search & Restore” made an appearance in our booth to sign autographs on Friday.
